about the locations
We will be exploring the mystical Dream Canyon on Sugarloaf Mountain, featuring canyons, creeks, and majestic overlooks surveying the forests and rocky outcrops in all directions. The day involves some hiking of moderate difficulty so come prepared to trek through some canyons that can get steep at times. We will meet at a designated location at 3pm and visit several photogenic spots throughout the afternoon, wrapping up our day by catching the sun as it sets on the mountain before heading to a local brewery for a well-earned post-workshop treat! |
About the models
MELANCHOLIC
I have close to a decade of experience as an art model, and one of my great passions is posing nude in nature. I love to be outdoors and am excited to explore a part of the country I have never seen. There is something uniquely serene about communing with nature, echoing its shapes and forms through the expression of my body. Through my work, I seek to explore complex emotions, gender identity, and the relationship between humanity and nature. The juxtaposition of growth and decay, strength and vulnerability, grief and exuberance are common themes I employ in my posing. |
I have modeled for countless workshops over the course of my career and it has long been my dream to organize one of my own. I've learned a lot about what works and what doesn't when it comes to running one of these events. My co-organizers and I have spent a lot of time thinking about how to make this event run smoothly so it is an enjoyable and fulfilling experience for everyone involved! Links to more of my work |
PRANA I’m a traveling artist who is originally from Colorado. While I have only been modeling professionally for three years, my unique and multifaceted plethora of experience has led me to co-hosting this workshop with some incredible fellow creatives, and it couldn’t feel any more perfect. I grew up in the charming mountain town of Durango, Colorado, nestled in the heart of the San Juan National Forest. Wandering into the thick, forested alpine scenery was a constant, casual pastime. I moved to Boulder to complete a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Ecology and continued to enjoy weaving these exploratory habits into my day-to-day life. During my 10 years in Boulder, I worked as a server, driver, and eventually a coordinator for a fine dining, farm-to-table catering company. I became an expert at throwing together large events and coordinating several aspects of parties that mostly consisted of high-energy, high-country weddings. |
After succumbing to the weight of chronic nerve pain from Degenerative Disc Disease in 2017, I began an obsession with art nude photography as a way of coping with and digesting my discomforts. I became locally and then internationally published as an art nude self-portrait artist who specializes in shooting, playing, and feeling good “within” the outdoors. In such a short amount of time, I’ve had the pleasure of tailoring my obsession with the human body and combining it with my love of natural landscapes, creative connection, and personal healing to create a brand of outdoor nude photography that seeks to bring all of us back home to ourselves—for models, photographers, and viewers alike.
