One day I will disappear.
I am a fool to waste these years.
Ghostly, turn me inside out,
take away these fearful doubts.
Let me sing and let me shout,
let me thrust my demons out!
Let me call them by their name:
useless guilt and useless shame
When my insides I untangle,
may I heal instead of mangle.
Last time I was in Seattle, I had the chance to work with Taylor Maxwell again. It was our fourth collaboration over the course of several years and as always we had a great time and took some beautiful pictures. Here's a collection of some of my favorite images we've created over the years. The first two are from 2015, second two are 2018, and the rest are from this most recent shoot in April. I really love rope/suspension/being tied but have had numerous bad experiences with people who didn't know what they were doing (and, with me also not knowing what I was doing, not knowing to get out of those situations before they could have turned dangerous). Taylor is not only an experienced rigger whom I trust with my safety, but also has been a voice of caution and sanity for me during a challenging journey of having my boundaries repeatedly crossed (partly due to not knowing how to set them) and attempting to heal and grow from the pain that was caused in the process. These images for me are strong, powerful, and beautiful and I am proud to have been part of them.
